Apply a Breakout Patch Classic Xtra directly on top of the blemish and leave it on until the patch turns opaque white, which usually takes about 6 hours. For best results, use overnight. If pus remains in the pimple after your patch is removed, simply replace it with a new patch.

What kind of pimple is Breakout Patch Classic Xtra designed for?

What's the maximum length of time I should wear a patch?

We advise you to wear the patch for 6+ hours or until the patch has absorbed the pus, whichever is first. If after 6+ hours and the patch has not absorbed anything then it means that either the pimple is not mature yet or the pus is deep in the pore. The patch can help coax the pus to the surface and then coax it out however, this will take 1 to 3 days depending on how deep the pus is. Some customers have seen that popping or pricking the pimple can help draw the fluid onto the patch faster.
